La Toubana Hotel & Spa has implemented the following strategies:
- As the water at the hotel is drinkable, we encourage guests to refill their water bottles in their guestrooms
- Signs are posted to raise our guests’ awareness of everyday eco-friendly practices, such as reusing towels and reducing water waste. In line with this approach, all bathrooms are equipped with refillable dispensers (shower gel, shampoo, etc.) — a more sustainable alternative to single-use toiletry products, helping to reduce plastic waste while ensuring both comfort and quality.
- Our establishment is mostly equipped with LED bulbs and solar panels, contributing to more responsible energy consumption. Motion detectors and timers are installed in certain areas to prevent unnecessary waste. We have implemented a rainwater harvesting system.
- Our chef works hand in hand with local producers, fishermen, farmers, and distilleries to create menus that reflect the richness of the local terroir: fresh fish, tropical fruits, organic and seasonal vegetables, and Guadeloupean rums.
- This commitment goes hand in hand with a clear intention to reduce plastic use in our restaurants, kitchens, and throughout the entire property, notably by eliminating single-use packaging. We have also implemented waste sorting (paper, glass, electrical appliances, cooking oils, etc.) and compost our organic waste to produce natural fertilizer used in our green spaces. To go even further, we regularly plant endemic species, thus contributing to the preservation of local biodiversity.
